Dear Family and Friends:
I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones doing well. As Eleanor Roosevelt stated in the quote above, these are no ordinary times, and your support is needed more than ever. I think most of you know by now that I have decided to run for The Akron City Council-At-Large, and it is a crowded field. There are 12 candidates for 3 seats. This truly reminds me of my school board races. I thank you so much for your unwavering support in the past, and ask you for it again. The past 16 years of service on the Akron School Board have been extremely rewarding, and I think we made some lasting impact. However, I think it’s time to bring new blood to the school board. Thus, my reason for seeking this office, and my desire to continue to serve this community.
Your support clearly made it possible for me to serve our community, the state and the nation on important educational issues and other meaningful political and non political endeavors. If you believe, I made a difference, please join me in this endeavor by making a generous donation to my campaign.
My campaign will focus on the things that are meaningful to our city, such as emphasizing the importance of safe neighborhoods; the creation of jobs; more community policing; strong schools; community collaboration; foreclosures and homeownership, and investment in our communities.
